About Us

Disability Support Network was established by Kathy Norelli.

Whilst working many years in the disability community, Kathy identified a need for a more personalised, empathetic approach where individuals and their families felt comfortable and at home. Having a son with a disability inspired Kathy to create a nurturing environment where participants and their families have a say and choice over the service they want. Where Support workers, nurses and mentors are treated with respect and dignity where bonds and friendships are made in a friendly and nurturing environment.

WE LOVE OUR PARTICIPANTS

"My daughter has been involved with this service for over a month now and she is learning so much. They have given her many new opportunities such as developing work skills for the future, meal preparation, building on social skills, increased capacity to follow her routines especially in the morning (much less stress for me these days as she loves her morning routine checklist so much....she is ready on time for her day!). Kathy and Tony go above and beyond to meet her needs, liaising with therapists to help meet goals. They are great!! Life is good. The future looks bright for Holly." - via Facebook

"My 29 yr old Son has a fantastic 1:1 carer 3 days per week, which he has never been able to have previously, this service now fits him instead of him having to fit into a centre based service. We have never been happier." - via Facebook

"My daughter has been doing employment training and life skills 2 days a week and absolutely loves it I would highly recommended this service." - via Facebook

FROM KATHY

“I am amazed by the insights and determination that the participants I work with show. Seeing people with disability in the community having fun, laughing, and interacting with others is very important to me. When the young adults I work with achieve goals, no matter how small, I can see them laying the building blocks to self-confidence and strength for everyday life. It gives me great joy to help them achieve new goals.”
